Photography Update
Well, as many of you know, I have spent the last few months working with my friend Jake towards the possibility of us joining forces and me becoming an associate photographer with him and StudioJ. We recently both agreed that the timing wasn't right and it would be too much for him to take on at this time. So, that put Rob & I in the position to decide if this was something that I should do on my own. I tried it once before, but at that time I didn't know what I didn't know and really wanted someone to hold my hand. I felt ill-prepared for the task. I now feel that I am in a better place both in knowledge and skill to step out on my own. So, once again, Bella Luce (this means 'beautiful light' in Italian) Photography is going to be back in business. I am looking for someone to help me set up my website. I already have purchased the domain name, so it's just a matter of getting it set up and hosted. I have been working non-stop for the past week especially, but am enjoying it and feeling very well supported by my sweet husband and kids. They are all excited for me and very proud, which always makes you feel good. :-)

Our Punkin's 6-month pictures

Our sweet little girl turns 6-months old on Wednesday, so I took her outside for pictures today. She loves to be outside and was so happy to be on the ground that she had very little interest in looking at me at all. She discovered that she doesn't mind the taste of leaves or pumpkins, and that monkey grass is fun to play with. There were so many cute shots, if I may say so, that I just couldn't decide which ones to take out. So these are the top 10. Okay, 15. I couldn't figure out which 5 to drop. :-) I like them all for different reasons. So, I guess I'm just a proud Mama. If you see one you'd like for me to email to you so that you can make a print, let me know and I will send it to you.
Tomorrow I will write an update on how my business is going and how things have changed...

The Geyer Family

Today I had the pleasure of shooting the Geyer family. We had a wonderful time and found some beautiful places to work with on the horse farm where Steven works. These are just a few of many great shots! It's going to be hard to edit these down to a workable number as there are so many really great ones to choose from! What a good problem to have! :-)
Family Update

Okay. It's finally time to post some family stuff. Here you see some pictures from trick-or-treating on Halloween, wacky hair day at the kid's school (hence, the mohawk) and Olivia as Dorothy in the "I Love America" Day parade (in celebration of Veteran's Day). We had a great time at the parade and picnic. It was fun seeing both kids with their new friends and to see some of the dynamics that play out in those groups. Both kids are quite social and love to show off their little sister. Oh yeah, speaking of which, I threw one in of her for fun!
